Lucy Best studied at the Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design and is a qualified teacher.  She exhibits regularly nationally and has work in collections internationally.  In her teaching practice she is on the faculty of The Corporate Theatre delivering creative workshops to international businesses and teaches painting both privately and for Bournemouth and Poole Adult Education.  The work exhibited at Artemesia is selected from a body of work entitled 'Bizzare Bazaar', insprired by her travels to Istanbul and Venice.
