Margaret trained in Dress Design and Pattern Cutting at the London College of Fashion.

Living in Surrey she joined Art Classes in Caterham and the Tandridge and Old Coulsdon Art Societies.
This started an ongoing journey to express her responses to any subject or scene through the mediums of oil, pastel or charcoal.

Moving to Dorset in 1986, the structure of the land and coastline around her home in Abbotsbury gave her the impetus to create a strong and emotional response to nature in her work. She was able to continue her studies at Abbotsbury Studio under the influence of artist John Skinner.

She has shown her work in Exhibitions and Galleries around Dorset.
She is a member of WeSCA…..( Wessex Contemporary Arts )
