Nicola trained to be a botanical artist in 1998 at the Chelsea Physic Garden in London, where she was taught botanical illustration under the tuition of Anne Marie Evans. In 2005 she won a Silver Guilt medal for her illustrations of Cider Apples from the Royal Horticultural Society. She has had solo exhibitions at Theatr Clwyd in North Wales, Aberdeenshire, the Guggleton Gallery in Stalbridge and Dorset Art Weeks as well as exhibiting in London at a joint exhibition following a painting trip to Romania . In 2005 she moved from Cheshire back to her home county of Dorset where she now lives. From her garden studio in Cattistock she paints intricate studies of flowers, fruit and vegetables in watercolour. Further to her own work, she teaches and holds workshops for interested groups in Dorset.
